Blue Horizons Granular Shock Chlorine is a calcium hypochlorite granular shock chlorine used as part of your winterising programme for outdoor pools.

Granular Shock Chlorine is a highly concentrated chlorine used to shock your swimming pool water regularly, typically every 2 weeks or more often in hot weather or if water turns green.

This product effectively restores sparkling water from algae infestation and can be added through the skimmer. Use it if the pool has been neglected, algae growth appears, or after high bather loads.

Equivalent to Shock Xtra, Rapid Shock. Helps prevent and remove algae, destroys swimmer wastes, and can be used for regular disinfection. pH 11.5. Part of the BOAST system.

How to apply chlorine shock granules:

• Maintain pH levels within 7.2 - 7.6 and adjust if necessary.
• Keep free chlorine residuals in the 1 - 3 mg/l range; shock treatment up to 10 mg/l.
• Pre-dissolve in a clean plastic container at a maximum of 100g per 10 litres of water, then add to the pool with the pump on near water inlets.
• Repeat if needed to reach desired chlorine level.
• After treatment, keep the pump running until water clears, and wait at least 30 minutes before bathing.
