Exel Big White Mop Blue
- Distinctive and hygienic looking
- Easily distinguishable from 'ordinary' mops
- Easily identified to staff as the mop to be used for cleaning sensitive areas (surgeries, theatres) or materials (bodily spillages in nursing homes) and as such are to be used once and disposed of to ensure that any possible failures in laundering do not mean re-use of a contaminated mop.
- As we also supply them in white socket options too, this makes them further distinguishable in a colour coding system as being for different use to the usual red, blue etc.

Exel Big White Mop are made from 'baby-wipe' type material - the offcuts from large rolls - which is a synthetic material called spun-lace, is weight for weight twice as absorbent as PY cotton, and is as the name just hints at , white. The other benefit over cotton is that they are to a large extent lint-free compared to cotton mops which shed fibres (especially PY), so assist hygiene by not leaving fibre residues.
Although the mops can be used just as ordinary cotton socket mops (we also have Kentucky versions), and are in fact easier to keep clean, they have grown to be popular in hospitals, nursing homes, vets dentists, etc. because they are:
- distinctive, hygienic looking and so more appropriate to such environments
- easily distinguishable from 'ordinary' mops
- and so are easily identified to staff as the mop to be used for cleaning sensitive areas (surgeries, theatres) or materials (bodily spillages in nursing homes) and as such are to be used once and disposed of to ensure that any possible failures in laundering do not mean re-use of a contaminated mop.
